ISF/10+2 Update

On Dec. 24, 2009, CBP released a Federal Register notice pertaining to the issuance of ISF single Transaction Bonds. This announcement confirms CBP will be accepting ISF Appendix D Bonds on a single transaction basis.

Within this release, CBP has issued the final wording for the ISF Appendix D Bond Form.  IB&M is currently in the process of updating the new bond language changes for easy issuance of the ISF single transaction bond via the IB&M website at www.intlbondmarine.com.  We will advise once the new bond wording and issuance features are fully functional.

In the mean time, you can view CBPs Federal Register notice at the link below:

Keep in mind, the ISF enforced compliance deadline of January 26, 2010, is fast approaching. While Customs has repeatedly said it does not want to issue "do not load orders," Customs will be taking into account the length of time the importer has been filing, the accuracy level of those filings, and the nature and extent of the filing mistakes made when deciding on the amount of penalties to be assessed.

More info to come…
